Family Fun in Riley Park

Great summertime fun for kids, parents and grandparents!

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and come enjoy the show.


Forget making dinner!  Come early, visit your favorite Downtown Farmington restaurants for carry-out and have a picnic in the park.


Raining?  All activities will be held at the Farmington Community Library, 23500 Liberty Street. In case of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 5:30 pm to have the concert at the pre-determined rain location or cancel.

Jim is a child development specialist, having completed his graduate studies in child development at the Erikson Institute of Chicago with a special emphasis on the study of play. Jim has won acclaim for bringing the same emphasis on family play to his live concerts. Anyone who has ever attended one of Jim’s family concerts knows that rather than performing for the children and parents, Jim leads them to sing and play together.

Fast-paced and energetic, it combines the music of the early rock and roll era with history, comedy, dance and audience participation. Kids will love this LIVE rock and roll show as the presenter takes them on a high-energy trip back through time. While they hear and enjoy some of the classic music that helped lead to the rock sound, they will also be educated and entertained with info about what life was like in the1950's and early 60's.

aim to use fun music and video to introduce children to careers and overall positive themes, such as "Work Together" and "Dream Big" and encouraging kids to exercise.  Sing and dance along with The Wanna Bees as they rock out to songs telling you what a day on their job is all about.
