Our Mission: To promote and enrich a vigorous downtown business and residential district while retaining and enhancing our Main Street atmosphere.
Take a look at the 2012-2013 Budget Presentation that was proposed to the honorable Mayor and City Council of Farmington on Monday, May 7, 2012.
The Downtown Development Authority, or DDA, was established in 1986 to correct and prevent deterioration in the business district, encourage historic preservation and to authorize the creation and implementation of development plans in the district and use tax-increment financing within the DDA district.
A nine-member Board of Directors governs the DDA and, in turn, the Board provides direction to Executive Director Annette Knowles.
The DDA Board of Directors include President Melissa Andrade, Tom Buck, Valerie Greer, Secretary Dan Higgins, Les Key, Sean Murphy, Vice-President Steve Schneemann and Cindy Wells. Currently, one vacancy exists on the DDA Board of Directors.
