Downtown Farmington
Main Street Tent
The Farmington Downtown Development Authority presented the
Downtown Farmington Main Street tent with refreshments and free family
entertainment.
Many discovered some exciting new projects occurring in Downtown
Farmington including the latest information about:
- The Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion
- Riley Park
- Downtown Farmington's Master Plan
- Recent Downtown Farmington development and redevelopment
projects
Grapes
& Hops On The Grand
This was a great opportunity for taste-testing beer from Warren's Dragonmead
Microbrewery along with award-winning wine. John
Cowley & Sons sponsored this event again after a
spirited reception in 2004.
The beverages were a nice compliment to Cowley's chef, Paul Lindsay's
mouthwatering menu.
While experiencing the food and beverage, guests heard the soft
sounds of live musicians. What a great way to wind down your day.
Farmington
Area Founders Festival Parade
The Farmington Downtown Development Authority's Downtown Farmington float
received the Farmington Area Founders Festival Grand Marshal Award.
The float was groovin' to the '60s with Petula Clark singing her
smash hit, "Downtown". Along for the ride were Pet's
dancing backup singers, a Farmington Public Safety Department
dispatcher, hippies, a mod girl and everyone's favorite,
Austin Powers. Austin was playin' it up with the
parade-goers.
Yeah, baby. Yeah!
